DLF(Duckworth-Lewis Fracas) IPL or Idiot People League

i have been thinkin of writing this for a while and nw since I have got some time at my disposal,let me share something: lets face it, the IPL 2 is nowhere as good as the previous edition....Back then people used to anticipate and be excited about the games since they were played bck in India (at home and away)....There was indeed a sense of thrill the last time than now....Here we see mediocre support for the teams and the South African crouds eem to just come in to see their favorite players in action aka the gibbs',kallis' and smiths and steyns..!!!! I remember the last time kings11 punjab and mumbai indians played in mumbai, Yuvraj was a pissed off captain during the presentation and he had some harsh words for the mumbai crowd who were very hostile to some of his players.....This sort of passion to stand up for your team and show the aggression on the field will not be seen in this edition.....and even the "baap of IPL" aka lalit modi too knows it....here the teams dont even know what their home and away venues are.....or maybe we can call them the "NEUTRAL" VENUES.....

also i wish to mention the selection of SA as the venue to hold IPL2; as mentioned by the "baap",SA had pleasant weather and no rains but we have already seen a washout within the 1st 6 games.....

the 7.5 strategy break;for me is just bull shit and even the players and the people know it that its just another money making mantra for the IPL organizers....Recently, chennai superkings coach,Stephen Flemming was asked about this strategis break and all he said was "we talk about team strategy for about 2 to 2 n half mins but then we jst dnt knw how to kill time".....a friendly suggestion to u Stephen : watch all the commercials......

and the prize for the biggest and worst hoopla in IPL2 goes to : the "win your way to becoming a BOLLYWOOD actress by dressing smart(read sexy) and pouring makeup" SCHEME.....some of the girls selected by our so called "gifted" cameraman seem old ladies and mothers of 2.....cmon cameraman its not necessary to pick up dusky Indian ladies alone; go for the white chicks too.....(jst kiddin)......if u r the face of the day and ur makeup holds on u get a chance to keep 50,000 rands(term used for money in SA;its something else in Indian language)....


overall IPL2 is jst for makin money; the passion and aggression are all fake; there are no crowds to cheer u at ur 'home' games and boooo u at ur 'away' games....
theres one positive though: the Indias in SA do get a chance to see all their star cricketers and movie stars in a one month extra-wag-anzaa....!!!!!
